On Friday, September the 30th, and playing to a packed house at Manzanita’s Pine Grove Community Center Steve Eberlein of the America Red Cross expertly explained how the Oregon coast should be prepared for any emergency.  Mr. Eberlein noted that emergencies are capable of striking at any time, day or night.  Most people tend to think in terms of “The Big One,” but even a small event can change one’s life.

Handing out ARC’s new booklet, Prepare! A Resource Guide, he helped those attending learn how to best prepare in order to experience minimum impact on their life.  Preparedness starts with a few basic steps, Be Informed, Make a Plan, Get a Kit.  Building a “Go Bag” is of utmost importance for those living on the Oregon coast.  Watch for future events intended to assist in the building process.
