After moving to the coast and deciding we should get serious about emergency preparedness, we quickly identified EVCNB as the group to join. Since my original career was as a chemist, I became interested in the Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WaSH) class that EVCNB developed. It addresses critical problems that affect large numbers of people displaced by disasters.

A great strength of the EVCNB organization is the diverse backgrounds and expertise of its volunteers. Their dedication to the cause, and the complexity of issues they have taken on, make EVCNB an exciting and important organization for our community.
