EVCNB Team creates the TEAM Activation App
Remember the ad that claimed, “There’s an app for that!”? What happens when you need one that doesn’t exist? EVCNB needed a way to quickly target and message volunteers needed for an emergency. Classic Ridge Summer Party & Fundraiser
The Classic Ridge neighborhood held its cluster party on September 3rd. The event was focused on socializing and fundraising for additional emergency supplies.
Pine Ridge Cluster WaSH Drill
The Pine Ridge neighborhood gathered for a practice drill. The WaSH station is an important component of their neighborhood's emergency cache and the drill was designed to familiarize residents with all the supplies available for water, sanitation, and hygiene in times of an emergency and/or disaster.
Southside Cluster Annual Social Was a Big Hit!
The Southside Cluster gathered for its annual Summer Social in July. 45 neighbors attended, including quite a few kids. The ice cream cone bar was a big hit!

Highlanders Summer Potluck – Beautiful Night and Great Food
The Manzanita Highlanders Cluster held their annual summer social and potluck on a beautiful summer evening in July. Neighbors gathered to share delicious dishes and social time together.
Wheeler Supports Preparedness!
According to attendees, Wheeler’s Second Community Preparedness event on Sunday, July 16th, was a big success. Local residents, kids, dogs and volunteers gathered in Wheeler’s Upper Park to greet neighbors old and new. Sponsored by the Wheeler Emergency Team, the Wheeler Ice Cream Social helped raise awareness – getting precious information to households, supporting families in doing easy (even fun) things to become more prepared for any emergency.
Sunset Meadow Gathering – There was cake!
26 neighbors of the Sunset Meadow Cluster gathered at the home of Pat and Bob Lawrence to enjoy a lovely and lively evening on July 30th.
Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) Nehalem City Park Drill

Volunteer Spotlight: Kim Miller, WaSH Program
While Kim Miller was running a successful Prepare Your Neighborhood cluster in Pine Ridge, she expressed her concerns about how important water, sanitation and hygiene will be in any emergency situation. Kim accepted the daunting task of leading a special Task Force to review and revise the WaSH curriculum. We asked Kim about her experience with EVCNB.

Thanks to a generous grant from Tillamook County and the hard work of the Prepare Your Neighborhood Strategic Planning Team, our new and improved Readiness Handbook is now available! We are thrilled to announce that this is also available in Spanish.
